Enterprise School of Motoring
Frequently
Asked Questions
Some driving schools have a heavily discounted fee for the first few lessons, why should I go with Enterprise?
Some of theses schools only give an a half hour lesson and do not get you to drive until you're paying the full fee. There is more focus on talking and a heavy sales pitch on books, CD's, DVD's etc. With Enterprise you will be driving after 20 minutes and we have no interest in selling you anything.

How many lessons will I need?
The number of required lessons depends solely on the capability of the individual. As such the sessions will be tailored to meet your needs. Maybe visit the DSA web site at www.dsa.gov.uk and look under their FAQ section. Your instructor will monitor your progress and when you are at test standard they will ask you to book the test.
Can I contact you via text message?
Text can be misleading, ambiguous or sometimes not even received. Therefore it is asked that you ring your instructor directly should you need to arrange an appointment.
If I have to cancel a lesson how much notice will I need to give?
A policy 24hrs notice is strictly adhered to. Cancellations must be made by 12 noon the day before your lesson.
Can I use my own car for the test?
Ultimately, yes. You must provide a suitable vehicle that meets the DSA requirements. Visit their web site for details.
Should I practice in may own / family car?
This sometimes can be of benefit. However if it is very different in design and ‘feel’, then it may do more harm than good. Always confirm with your instructor first.
When should I take my theory test?
There is no point in taking the theory test straight away. Get some experience on the road first then take it as you approach test standard. You only need to give about two weeks notice.
How long does my theory test pass last?
Two years, you must pass your practical test within that time or retake the theory test.
